Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- To take instructions from you in order to run a conflict of interest search, progress your case as appropriate in the circumstances
- We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:
- If your case has been referred to us by another party that you have dealt with, but only with your knowledge of this
- We use the information that you have given us in order to assist you in your case as required
- We may share this information with legal representatives of the other party, any legal representation that we need to arrange on your behalf, and the courts in any judicial proceedings

- Your information is securely stored on our cloud-based client case management system which is supplied by a specialist professional legal provider off site.
- We keep relevant file information for a period of 6 years, unless your particular case dictates otherwise.
- We are required to retain your name and address details for the purposes of being able to undertake future conflict of interest searches.
- Once your case has closed all data will be stored in digital form only. All other forms of data such as any required print outs will be shredded and disposed of via a secure confidential disposal company.
- We will then dispose your file information by deleting all data records from the client case management system.
- Your data protection rights
- Under data protection law, you have rights including:
- to ask us for the personal information we hold for you.
- to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate.
- to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
- to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
